Why menstrual health matters

For active women, the menstrual cycle is an important indicator of overall health. Changes such as irregular cycles, worsening PMS, increasingly painful periods or changes in bleeding pattern can sometimes be early signs that your body is under stress, whether from low energy availability, excessive training or an underlying medical condition. These changes shouldn't be ignored, even if you're still having regular periods.
